The pieces in this collection evoke the world of the major arcana of the tarot, but create their own mythology. Behind the meticulous, lacy line drawings and vibrant colors is more than twenty-five years of self-knowledge research and the study of a wide variety of symbolic worlds. In the images, mythological and psychic archetypes – the Raven Lady, the Red God and their companions – appear as stations on the soul’s journey.
The collection was inspired by Judit’s personal reading experiences, her passion for mythology, as well as the gothic, the traditions and symbols of the peoples of the world, and artists such as Josephine Wall and Stephanie Pui-Mun Law. Each graphic is a separate world, yet an integral part of a larger pictorial universe – the hero/woman’s journey that lasts forever and beyond.
