Their design is known from the early Middle Ages to the present day, but they are most often associated with the 8th–11th centuries.
In the Scandinavian areas, it can be observed that by the 900s, due to the influence originating from the Rus' areas, they became dominant among the grave goods.
We offer them with a simple, two-component, stitched handle.
We recommend them for all early medieval characters.
